TASBooks - Maintaining salespersons

You can create records for each of your sales personnel, to give you greater analysis of your sales, costs, and calculate commission due. Once you've set up the salesperson's record, each time you enter a sales order, you can apply the relevant sales person code, building a picture of that person's sales figures.

The following steps contain everything you need to maintain your sales personnel in TASBooks.

To add or edit a salesperson record

  1. Sales Orders > Sales Persons > Maintain Salespersons (option 641).
  2. To set up a new salesperson > Salesperson Code > enter a code > Name > enter the salesperson's name.
  3. To edit or view an existing salesperson's record > press F2 > select the relevant salesperson.
  4. General Info > enter or amend the following information:
  5. Area Covered Enter the area covered by this salesperson, for example, North East.
Country Covered Enter the country covered by this salesperson, for example, UK.
    Address Enter the salesperson's address.
Commission Rate Enter the commission rate applicable to this salesperson.
Commission Based on Sales / Commission Based on Margins Select whether commission is based on total sales or profit margins.

Tip: The Sales Summary and Sales / Cost Summary tabs display the selected salesperson's sales analysis for the current and previous periods. You can drill down on each entry to view the transactions which make up the values displayed. Once you've drilled down on a value, you can use the options at the bottom of the Period for Salesperson window to filter the information displayed.
