If you're joining Sage 200 Standard Online and already have company data in Sage 50 Accounts, you can bring across some of the information with you to save you having to re-enter it manually by using one of our Data Migration Services.
Alternatively, you can start from scratch. Choose the option below that best suits your needs and we'll explain what happens next.
We do not provide telephone support for our Report Design Service. As part of this service, three free custom reports are included each year as part of your subscription plan*. We also have a report library where you can download additional custom reports, some of which have been designed with customers migrating from Sage 50 Accounts in mind. Our team of experts are creating new reports every week - if you have a report in mind that you can't find in your software or the report library, please let us know.
Important Note: The law requires you to keep historical records of your accounts for seven years. If you are moving from a subscription-based version of Sage 50 Accounts, you must ensure you have a copy of all required reports for this purpose before your subscription ends. Sage are unable to provide advice on which records to keep. We therefore strongly urge you to contact your accountant, financial clerk or other individual appointed to oversee the company accounts in regards to this requirement. Details of how to export data from Sage 50 Accounts can be found in Ask Sage article 20217.
Recommendation: The majority of our customers choose the option to Start Afresh from those below when moving to Sage 200 Standard Online. Find out why.

Even if you already have data in Sage 50 Accounts, you may wish to use this as an opportunity to start again with a clean slate. Rather than moving any of your old data across, you can set the program up as per your business requirements then start entering data as you go. This would include creating any customer and supplier records as and when necessary, along with any stock items and nominal codes.
If you choose this option, there are no additional set up costs involved. Select the 'What to do next link below' to find out how to get started.
By now, your site should already have been created for you on our cloud hosting system and you should have your login details created too (this consists of an email address and password, known as your Sage ID). Ensure you have these to hand as you'll need them in the next step.
Once you have your login details, you'll need to download the app to your PC - you'll use this every time you wish to open the software. Details of how to log in to our server (known as SEOS - Sage ERP Online Services) and download the app can be found in the Sage 200 Standard Online Help Centre.
There's some key company information that you'll need to have ready so you can fill in the relevant details. Don't worry, you can visit the Help Centre to find out exactly what you'll need.
Please note the following extremely important information which you need to be aware of before you complete the screen...
Now that you've got the app installed on your PC, you need to run it to launch the Configuration Assistant. This will help you to set up the software ready for day-to-day use.
If the software opens completely without displaying the Configuration Assistant, this means that the Configuration Assistant has already been completed. Don't worry, if there are any settings you wish to check or change, most of these can be done at any time within the program, although some can only be changed before you've entered any transactions.
Now that you've got all the required information, you can complete all 12 panels of the Configuration Assistant. You can complete these in any order you wish but you won't be able to access Sage 200 Standard Online until you've completed all 12 panels.
Before you start entering the details, you can watch a video of how to complete the Configuration Assistant in our Help Centre or you can follow the help files which will talk you through completing each panel step by step.
Once you've completed all sections, you can complete the wizard on the top right of the screen to access the software for the first time!
You're now ready to start entering your data. Whatever you need help with, you can access the Sage 200 Standard Online Help Centre at any time to get you on your way.
If you'd prefer us to import your existing records from Sage 50 Accounts for you, no problem. We'll require you to upload the latest backup of your data to our website. We'll then export all of your customer, supplier, nominal and product records and import these into Sage 200 Standard Online for you. You can then review them in your new software and delete any old or obsolete records you no longer require before you start processing.
There is a charge of £250 + VAT (€299 excl VAT) for this service.
Follow the steps below to get your data to us. Once you've done that, we'll do the rest and let you know when we've finished setting up your software. As all data sets are different in size, we can't give you an exact date of completion but we will of course aim to get it done as quickly as possible for you.
Note: When you create your backup, ensure you only select the 'Data Files' tickbox in Advanced Options. This keeps the file size down and reduces the time taken to upload the data.
Once you've got your backup file and your Incident Reference, you're ready to upload your data!
That's it!
Once we've completed your migration, we'll be in touch as soon as we can to let you know how to get started.
Whilst you're waiting for the migration to be completed, why not take a look at our Sage 200 Standard Online Help Centre and become familiar with how to carry out basic tasks by reading our help pages or watching some demonstration videos. This will give you a head start when you're ready to start processing in your new software.
Also, if you haven't already, you should make sure you've downloaded the Sage 200 Standard Online app to your PC so you're ready to go once we've finished migrating your data. The steps in the table below will take you through this quick and easy process if you need to.
If you'd like to retain your existing records and the balances associated with individual accounts such as customer, supplier and nominal records, you can send us a copy of your existing Sage 50 Accounts data and we'll add these to your new Sage 200 Standard Online company for you. Each record, where necessary, will have one transaction assigned to it to indicate the balance as at a particular date. To do this, we'll require you to upload the latest backup of your data to our website.
There is a charge of £500 + VAT (€599 excl VAT) for this service.
Note: It is not possible to retain any individual transactions on any accounts. All outstanding balances against each customer, supplier or nominal code will be grouped and displayed as a single outstanding transaction per account. For example, if you have a customer record with 3 outstanding invoices of £250 each, this will show as a single opening balance transaction of £750 for that account in Sage 200 Standard Online.
