In addition to the reports already available in your software, if you're a Sage Cover member, you can download reports from our Report Library. This is a collection of reports that our Report Design specialists create based on the reports our customers often request.

If you're a Sage Cover Extra member, you can also download our report of the month.

Reporting in Sage Payroll

Before you download a report, have you checked the wide range of reports already available in Sage 50 Payroll?

If you find a report you like within your software, but it isn't quite right, you can amend it using Report Designer. You can change the way your reports function as well as the way they look. You can even add an additional column to your payment summary.

To download and install a report

To download the report

  1. Click the file name of the report you want to download > enter your Sage website login details > Sign In.
  2. Make a note of the filename, for example SCVPRL01.report > Download.
  3. Depending on your Internet browser, the file either automatically downloads to your Downloads folder or you receive a prompt to save the file > browse to where you want to save it, for example, the Windows desktop > Save.

To copy the report into Sage 50 Payroll

  1. Locate and right-click the saved report file > Copy.
  2. Open Sage 50 Payroll > Help > About.
  3. Program Details section > Reports directory > click the path to the Reports directory.
  4. UserDef > Alt > Edit > Paste.

As a Sage Cover Extra member, you can download and install these reports free of charge, without the need to contact Sage Technical Support. You can even download any of the reports that you've missed over the last twelve months.

Download and install a report of the month

To download the report

  1. Click the download link for the report you want to download from the following sections.
  2. Enter your Sage website login details > Sign In.
  3. Make a note of the filename, for example SCVPRL01.report > Download.
  4. If a Save As window appears, browse to and select the required destination, for example, the Windows desktop > Save.
